Teen suspected of killing man in Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Omaha Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Monday evening.

OPD said police were dispatched to 72md and Country Club Road around 7:30 p.m. after a call came in about a reported shooting.

Officers said they found a 28-year-old male victim, from Omaha, that was transported to a local hospital by medics with the Omaha Fire Department. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to authorities, they found a 14-year-old male suspect near 78th and Weber St. The boy has been booked at the Douglas County Youth Center for manslaughter and use of a gun to commit a felony.
