PLATTSMOUTH – A Cass County judge has sealed the custody affidavit of an 18-year-old accused of the stabbing murder of 55-year-old Mary Blackwell.

County prosecutor S. Colin Palm moved to seal the document saying its release to the public would jeopardize Jabari Parsons’ right to a fair trial.

Parsons is charged with first degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony on Aug. 25.

County Judge PaTricia Freeman did not set a bond for Parsons and ordered the affidavit sealed.
