Falls City council considers fire department land development
Elks Lodge requests use of Stone Street for Cobblestone dance
FALLS CITY – The Falls City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1.
The agenda includes a public hearing on the West Plaza addition, blocking off parking on Stone Street and an outdoor dance and beer garden on Stone Street for the Cobblestone Festival.
The council will also consider a resolution to abate a nuisance at 820 McLean Street.
The planning commission held a hearing on the West Plaza Addition on July 21. The fire department has purchased property to develop 33rd Street.
The Community Medical Center has agreed to sell a third of an acre to the rural fire department.
The Elks Lodge proposes use of Stone Street for a Cobblestone Festival dance.
