Motorcycles collide near Syracuse travel center
Investigators suspect motorcycle driver turned sooner than expected
SYRACUSE – The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office suspects driver miscommunication played a role in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening.
Motorcycle riders were traveling together and expected to turn into Cubby’s near Highway 50 and I Road to get fuel. One motorcycle turned earlier than the main driveway, however, and a driver behind laid the motorcycle over before a collision.
The sheriff's office report says drivers, 60-year-old Timothy Summers of Eagle and 50-year-old Kevin Rahe of Lincoln, sustained minor arm injuries. A passenger on the second motorcycle, Sheryl Summers, also had possible minor injuries.
