Peru lifts boil notice

PERU - The City of Peru lifted its boil notice today.

Water customers were notified June 21 to boil water or use bottled water, but the city reports today that water tests have been negative for harmful contaminates.

A new pump has been installed at the well and bottled water was available at city hall.
