NEBRASKA CITY - Believe it or not, the postseason is almost here for legion baseball around the state. 

The final month of the season begins Friday with area tournaments following shortly after. Nebraska American Legion Baseball (NALB) announced the host sites for the area tournaments for Class B and Class C. 

The area tournament is to legion baseball what the district tournament is to high school baseball in the spring. Teams compete in the double elimination tournament with the champion of each area qualifying for the state tournament. 

The Junior Area Tournament's begin July 8 and the Senior's begin area play on July 22. 

Each team's seeding will be available once teams finish league play.

The Class B Junior State Tournament is at Wahoo and the senior tournament is at Broken Bow. In Class C, the state tournament is at Creighton and the Class C Senior State Tournament is at Wisner.
