Johnson Rags reports enjoyable Father's Day Chicken Barbecue

JOHNSON - The  reports an enjoyable Father’s Day chicken BBQ weekend, despite temperatures between 90 and 100 degrees.

Casen Dalinghaus and Reese Beute won the scavenger hunt and 32 participated in the 5K.

124 attended the Johnson-Brock High School alumni banquet hosted by the class of 1982. The oldest graduate in attendance was Helen Dettmer Casey from the class of 1951. Loren Peterson was the sole member of the 70-year class and eight attended from the 60-year class.

The Sunday morning service at St. Matthew Lutheran Church included introduction of three participants in the Waking in Faith 4 Christ who will be taking a work trip to Sheboygan, Wisc.

Jason and Dalton Knippelmeyer won the cornhole tournament sponsored by the girls basketball team.

700 people were served at the chicken barbecue.
