Omaha woman sentenced for drug conspiracy
OMAHA, Neb. -- Acting United States Attorney announced that an Omaha woman was sentenced for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine.
46-year-old Tressa Thompson received a sentence of 70 months in prison with a five-year term of supervised release to follow.
In December of 2020, officers with the Omaha Police Department said that they had contact with Thompson and a co-defendant when they were parked on the street.
Officials said the co-defendant tried to run and discarded a pound of meth, while Thompson stayed in the passenger seat with a Tupperware container that had more meth in it.
Authorities said that altogether 640 grams of meth was seized with the $2,810 that was found in the vehicle.
This case was investigated by the Omaha Police Department and the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office.
