Nebraska City man accused of assault by strangulation
Woman ran to neighbor's house where police were called
NEBRASKA CITY – Adam Bock, 33, of Nebraska City is charged with assault by strangulation on April 20.
Court records say Bock’s former girlfriend initially told officers she had been choked, swung around by her hair and pounded to the floor, but then refused to cooperate with investigators. She was later contacted by a female officer and filled out a statement.
Bock told investigators he was attacked when he tried to intervene in the woman’s usage of methamphetamine.
On the night of the alleged assault, the woman left the residence and went to a neighbor’s house, where 911 was called.
Police say her wounds corroborated her account of what happened.
