SIDNEY - The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office arrested a South Dakota man Saturday for suspicion of burglary at a previously flooded farm in rural Thurman.

Jonathan Lee Getz, 38, is suspected of burglary, motor vehicle theft, possession of a short-barreled rifle and possession of a firearm by a felon.

A sheriff’s office press release says the Fremont County K9 Roby assisted in an evidence search. A firearm was located, concealed near a structure.

Deputies were dispatched Saturday morning to the property near Thurman and found the suspect’s vehicle at a nearby property. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Kansas.
