DUNBAR - Dunbar firefighters responded to a grass fire near 4200 C Road.

Tankers from Weeping Water and Avoca were requested at 9:30 a.m. for a fire in the middle of a mile section.

Nehawka fire was paged for mutual aid at 9:33 a.m. as crews at the scene were running out of water.

There were no structures in the path of the fire, but there is plenty of burnable material in waterways and wooded area five miles northeast of Otoe.

Nebraska City fire was paged at 10 a.m. for grass rigs and tankers.

Nebraska  Wildfire Risk .com lists the area as low to moderate risk.

Most departments were released from the scene by 11:30 a.m.
