Nebraska City speech takes third at Auburn Invitational
The Pioneers finished behind Freeman and Elmwood-Murdock as the regular season begins to wind down.
AUBURN - The Pioneer speech team competed at the Auburn Invitational this past weekend, finishing third overall.
Isabelle Bare placed third in Extemporaneous and sixth in Humorous, while Caleb Poggemeyer finished third in Informative. Abbey Lippman also competed in Extemporaneous and finished sixth.
Dalton Cooper and Kelly Gonzalez teamed up to take home third place in Duel Acting. In Persuasive, Valerie Bennie finished fourth. Four Pioneers joined forces to finish sixth in Oral Interpretation of Drama. The foursome consisted of Gabe Collins, Dalton Cooper, Kelly Gonzalez and Kiera Rakowski.
In the Novice category, Ace Reed was the top novice in Poetry and Ethan Graves was the runner-up novice in Entertainment.
Nebraska City will participate in a meet on Feb. 19 at Plattsmouth High School.
