Person arrested in connection with weekend felony assault
Police have arrested a person in connection with a weekend assault in Omaha.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Police have arrested a person in connection with a weekend assault in Omaha.
Omaha Police made an arrest in the felony assault that happened at 1212 Harney Street on Saturday.
Officials said that officers booked 22-year-old Nolan King of Omaha. King is currently at Douglas County Corrections for first-degree felony assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
One person has died following the felony assault.
OPD said that 41-year-old Rodney Pettit of Oklahoma died from his injuries Monday morning at a hospital in Omaha.
OPD is working with the Douglas County Attorney's office to amend charges against King.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
