Dunbar teen survives collision
Driver's-side impact in Highway 50 collision
SYRACUSE – A Dunbar teen escaped life-threatening injury after a driver’s-side impact collision at the intersection of highways 128 and 50.
The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reports that Charlie Rinne, who has a learner’s permit, failed to yield right of way at 7:30 a.m. on Jan. 31.
In an attempt to turn left from Highway 128 and go south on Highway 50, he pulled his Ford Taurus in the path of a northbound Nissan Altima, driven by Allison Anderson of Tecumseh.
A passenger, Trevor Rinne of Dunbar, was not injured.
Rinne was taken to a Lincoln trauma center. Syracuse Rescue also transported Anderson with possible injuries to a Syracuse hospital.
