Probation ordered after pothole worker hit by car
Nebraska City woman enters plea to reckless driving

NEBRASKA CITY – Kyra Ford, 21, of Nebraska City was sentenced to 18 months probation for attempted possession in February of 2021.
Ford was arrested after the car she was driving veered into city street workers who were fixing potholes on 11th Street. A sheriff’s deputy searched her purse and prosecutors say Hydrocodone and Xanax were found.
An arrest affidavit says Ford asked if the injured worker was inside the truck when he was hit and police explained that worker was outside of the truck. Another street worker reported spinning out of the way of the oncoming car.

Paint marks on pavement were made after the accident. Crew photographed continues pothole work after accident is cleared.
