Syracuse issues snow emergency
A snow emergency means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes.<br/>
SYRACUSE-The City of Syracuse has issued a snow emergency for Saturday. The following details have been listed via their Facebook page:
In anticipation of the upcoming snowstorm, the City of Syracuse is declaring a city-wide snow emergency effective at 12 a.m. on Saturday, January 15th through 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th.
A snow emergency means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes.
The following are the snow emergency routes designated by the Code of Ordinances of the City of Syracuse, Sec. 30-161:
(a) Mohawk Street from 3rd Street to 15th Avenue.
(b) 15th Avenue from Mohawk Street to Walnut Street.
(c) Walnut Street from 9th Street to 17th Street.
(d) 5th Street from Mohawk Street to Park Street.
(e) 6th Street from Mohawk Street to Park Street.
(f) Midland Street from 6th Street to 17th Street.
(g) 11th Street from Midland Street to Park Street.
(h) 9th Street from Walnut Street to Mohawk Street.
Residents are asked to refrain from parking on streets to give plows as much room as possible. The owner or other person lawfully entitled to the possession of any vehicle parked, standing, or stalled in violation of this section shall be subject to the penalties and removal provided in the Code of Ordinances for the City of Syracuse.
