Third lane proposed on 11th St

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City commissioners approved $229,000 in pre-design work that would establish a third lane in a section of 11th Street.

JEO Consulting Group would provide a topographic survey for $26,500 and roadway design for $184,000. A lighting design will cost $18,500.

The third lane will be used as a turning lane.

City Construction Manager Marty Stovall said the $1.75 million project includes new five-foot sidewalk, ADA ramps and street lighting. No additional right of way is needed.

JEO is expected to have an opinion about costs by July of 2022 for city budget purposes in 2023.
