Shane McInerney earns second Player of the Week this Season
Shane McInerney (Galway, Ireland) was voted Heart of America Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the win at home over Clarke University on Saturday, October 16.
By News Channel Nebraska(Peru, Neb.) – Shane McInerney (Galway, Ireland) was voted Heart of America Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the win at home over Clarke University on Saturday, October 16.
McInerney made field goals of 22 and of 40 yards. McInerney also connected on two PATs in a shutout win over Clarke 20-0.
On the year McInerney has made 11 of 11 field goals and has been perfect on extra points going 18 of 18.
This was McInerney's second honor of the year. He is the only Bobcat to be recognized so far this season.
With the conference honor, McInerney is now eligible for the weekly NAIA recognition.
