SYRACUSE – The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office reports results of its participation in the nationwide “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign that took place Aug. 20 to Sept. 6.

Deputies responded to 395 calls for service. They issued 194 traffic warnings and 31 traffic citations.

Of 13 arrests, eight were misdemeanors and one was a felony warrant. Additional arrests were made for driving under suspension, distribution of controlled substances, DUI, no drug tax stamp and violation of a protection order.

Grant officers worked an extra 155 hours of overtime.

The sheriff’s office reports it will be applying for grants to assist in seatbelt enforcement.
