Royalty crowned at Plattsmouth Harvest Festival

 

PLATTSMOUTH - Cassgram reports the harvest royalty was crowned in Plattsmouth Thursday night.

Queen Kayla Harvey is the daughter of Brian and Tina Harvey. She is a 2020 Plattsmouth High School graduate.

Queen Kayla  is a certified nursing assistant and attended one year at College of Saint Mary where she was on the dance team before transferring to Nebraska Wesleyan University, where she will continue to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing. 

 King Brian Wagner graduated from Plattsmouth High School in 1987. He is a City of Plattsmouth employee and is the water and sewer superintendent.

The coronation script notes, he has spent “countless hours and many sleepless nights trying to make sure water was supplied to his town” and also has served the city in emergencies with the fire and rescue departments. He has been an active EMT since 2007, receiving multiple awards and recognitions. 

A 30-minute 9/11 memorial ceremony is scheduled during the harvest festival at 6 p.m. Saturday.
