New warrant issued for house painter
Cass County files theft charge after refund not returned to Louisville house owner

PLATTSMOUTH – A theft charge has been filed in Cass County against a house painter accused of taking a deposit, but not painting the trim on a Louisville home.
Court records say 53-year-old Richard Griger Jr. received a $3,000 deposit in September of 2019, but had not painted by July of 2020, when the homeowner made a second demand for return of the deposit.
A judge ordered Griger to return the money in small claims court, but the Cass County Attorney says the homeowner has not received payment.
A Sarpy County county has dismissed a separate theft charge alleging that Griger accepted a $3,000 deposit to paint a house in Gretna, but did not do the work as expected.
