TECUMSEH – 68-year-old Dennis Harms of Sterling was sentenced to a year in county jail for attempted possession of methamphetamine in September.

His son, 47-year-old Robert Harms of Bennett, entered a plea to a misdemeanor attempted possession in January. A court hearing is set on May 27.

A Johnson County deputy told the court he stopped a pickup pulling a boat for erratic driving and found meth in the vehicle. Both men denied knowledge of illegal drugs.
