Probation ordered after misdemeanor plea deal

AUBURN – Stacey Huey, 30, of Nemaha was sentenced to 18 months probation for attempted possession of methamphetamine on Aug. 11.

Court records say a sheriff’s deputy investigating a report of criminal mischief stopped a pickup on Highway 136 and arrested Huey and 42-year-old Lance Hays of Shubert. The deputy told the court that a loaded syringe and small amount of meth was found.

Hays has enrolled in drug court.
