Riverton man suspected of meth, eluding

SIDNEY, Iowa - The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office arrested William Joseph Estelle, 45, of Riverton on April 18 following a short pursuit.

A sheriff’s office press release says a deputy was active on a separate traffic stop when a Nissan Xterra failed to move over or slow down. The deputy at the scene notified other deputies regarding the vehicle, which was located on Highway 2.

The press release says there was a short pursuit, reaching speeds of 80 mph.

Estelle is suspected of eluding, possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation.
