County appoints assessor, hears pitch from Falls City on dispatch service

Former deputy assessor appointed in Richardson County

FALLS CITY – Richardson County commissioners met with Falls City officials Tuesday regarding 911 emergency dispatch services.

Mayor Shawna Bindle and City Clerk Gary Jorn presented a proposal for a interlocal cooperative agreement for dispatch services covering Falls City and the county.

No action was taken at Tuesday’s meeting.

Commissioners did interview Kim Riggs of Falls City and Jodi Spencer of Cozad for the vacant county assessor position.

The board moved to appoint Riggs, who previously was deputy assessor, effective March 24.
