Judge retains no contact order for sexual assault suspect

NEBRASKA CITY – An Otoe County judge has refused to loosen bond restrictions on 66-year-old Arnulfo Rodriquez who is charged with sexual assault of a child in June.

Arnulfo and family members had asked the judge to eliminate a no contact order involving Arnulfo’s grandchildren and the Otoe County Attorney’s office did not take a position on the matter.

However, District Judge Julie Smith denied the request and kept the no contact order in place.

Arnulfo is scheduled for a March 15 court hearing on allegations of subjecting a person under age 14 to sexual contact.
