AUBURN – A 27-year-old Lincoln woman, who described herself as homeless, is charged with stealing a car from the Casey’s General Store parking lot in Auburn on Feb. 1.

The car’s owner, Sherry Volker, told a Nemaha County sheriff’s deputy the car was gone when she came out of the store. She still had the key fob to the 2016 Chevrolet Impala, which is equipped with an On Star system.

On Star located the vehicle near Talmage and Lorton and north to L and K roads, where two suspects were taken into custody.

An arrest affidavit says Karlee Antonson told investigators it was her idea to take the car, but she didn’t have any particular destination. Antonson told the deputy she cut the wires to the OnStar system.
