Quarantined inmate reported missing
Officials say inmate was granted parole pending completion of COVID-19 quarantine
LINCOLN -- The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reports a missing inmate who had been quarantined due to COVID-19.
A press release says 28-year-old Davaughn Johnson had been granted parole pending completion of quarantine, but surveillance video showed him jumping a fence at the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln on Wednesday.
Johnson began serving a sentence in 2012 and had been at the center since August of 2020.
Officials say Johnson was in a quarantine cell about a half hour before he was discovered missing.
