Snow Closing Roads West, Glaze Of Ice For Otoe, Johnson, Cass Counties

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska 511 shows most roads snow covered north of the Platte River and west of Norfolk. Partial snow cover reported for remaining roads south of Norfolk and south of Lincoln on Sunday.

Interstate 80 was closed west of Sidney, Neb., Sunday afternoon.

Sidney officials declared a snow emergency on Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued a weather advisory for most of southeast Nebraska calling for mixed precipitation until 10 a.m. on Monday.

Snow accumulations of up to two inches and a light glaze of ice are forecast.

Slippery road conditions are expected for Cass, Johnson and Otoe counties.
