FALLS CITY – An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Alexander Reed, 26, who is wanted in Richardson County on charges of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and reckless driving.

A Falls City police officer reports seeing Reed washing the windshield of a Chevrolet Malibu at the Kwik Shop on Harlan Street. The deputy says he attempted a traffic stop, but the Malibu turned onto Lane, 14th Street, Morton, 15th Street, Fulton and 21st streets before leaving the city limits.

The deputy told the court that Reed endangered a female passenger. The officer said Reed was wanted on a Missouri warrant.

In an unrelated court action,  Amanda Potter, 33, of Reserve, Kan., is charged with possession of Alprazolam on Sept. 21.

A sheriff’s deputy said he saw a minivan in the Sun Mart parking lot with a defective light and conducted a traffic stop.

Potter told the officer that she was holding the pills for the prescribed person because they were being stolen from the prescribed person.
