Teens Injured In Collision With Farm Equipment
Driver suspected of driving under the influence

PLATTSMOUTH – Several teens were hospitalized Friday after an accident involving farm equipment at 54th and Weeping Water Road.
A Cass County Sheriff’s Office press release says a pickup truck struck a bean hauler wagon pulled by a tractor. The collision sheered off the back tire of the wagon and damaged the pickup.
The press release says the 17-year-old driver of the pickup was pinned until extricated from the vehicle. Two other juveniles were transported to a trauma center with serious injuries.
The driver of the pickup is suspected of driving under the influence.
Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff Department with Cass County Emergency Management, Nehawka Fire and rescue and Murray Fire and Rescue responded.
