Nebraska City Students Return To Class
Freshman, sixth graders are first to arrive at middle and high schools
NEBRASKA CITY – 155 days after the World Health Organization declared a worldwide pandemic because of a new coronavirus outbreak, Nebraska City students returned to classes today.
Teachers Lacey Glasford, Adam Kuntz and Jessica Rice were among the staff to greet freshman as they arrived at the high school.

Glasford: “To be back among normalcy. This is probably going to be as normal as it’s going to get.”
Kuntz: “They seem excited. They’ve got smiles on their faces – just kidding (mask levity) It’s been nice just to say good morning to our students.”

Rice: “I think, you know, we’ve put in all the steps to be as safe as possible. The precautions are great and we’re ready. We’re going to mask up and social distance and learn, learn, learn.”
Nebraska City freshman reported to class at the high school and sixth graders at the middle school today, as well as all elementary students.
The rest of the students are scheduled to report Friday.
