Slama Reacts On Twitter To Chambers' Comments Of 'Fleshly Rewards'

LINCOLN - The Nebraska Young Republicans and State Sen. Julie Slama reacted Tuesday on Twitter to comments State Sen. Ernie Chambers directed toward Slama.
Slama tweeted that Chambers introduced a hypothetical in which she was enslaved and raped.
She called Chambers’ comments about fleshly favors and other comments disgusting behavior.
Omaha Young Republicans tweeted their agreement. Their tweets say Slama is showing strong leadership as the session gets underway and say Slama is right that Chambers’ comments were disgusting.
Tweet: “Sen. Chamber’ comments regarding our colleague have no place in Nebraska politics or civil discourse. The statement that ambitious young females only achieve success through “favors of the flesh” is cowardice and demeaning.
