AUBURN – Auburn Mayor Dan White issued a notice Thursday removing restrictions from the April 3 health directive, including those involving recreational fields and sporting activities.

The mayor’s notice asks citizens to continue to follow social distancing guidelines, including six feet of separation and use a face mask when in public, if possible.

White: “This notice does not mean that the spread of COVID-19 has been reduced or eliminated at this time.”

He said the residents of Auburn and the state are aware of continued possible spread, the symptoms and health risks.

He said Auburn will adhere to the phase three directives issued by the Gov. Pete Ricketts in coordination with the Southeast District Health Department.

The Auburn Municipal Pool is open for lap swim from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There are sessions from 1 to 3 and 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Starting on June 29, the pool no longer required reservations to swim.
