Hispanics Brings Universality To Church
At St. Benedict Catholic Church in Nebraska City, in addition to providing service, Hispanics share their traditions with all parishioners.
NEBRASKA CITY- In Nebraska City the Hispanic community makes up half of the parishioners of the St. Benedict Catholic Church.
Fr. Ryan Kaup, a parish priest, assures that Hispanics are the representation of the multiculturalism and universality of the Catholic Church in a small town.
About 20 years ago the church began giving masses in Spanish.
Hispanics are a very important part of the evangelization of this parish, which was the first Catholic Church in the state of Nebraska.
