Grand Jury To Investigate Cause Of Death For Tecumseh State Prison Inmate
Inmate pronounced dead at Johnson County Hospital

TECUMSEH - The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reports the death of a Tecumseh State Correctional Inmate on Friday.
A press release says 36-year-old Ryan Lykens was transported by ambulance to the Johnson County Hospital after being found unresponsive in his cell. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1:15 p.m.
Lykens was serving a seven to 20-year sentence on charges out of Dodge and Red Willow counties that included the possession of a deadly weapon, terroristic threats, assault and escape.
The cause of death has not been determined.
A grand jury will conduct an investigation.
