NWS Lists Frost Risk At Low To Moderate As Temperatures Expected To Dip This Weekend
AccuWeather poses the question of crop damage<br/>

STATE COLLEGE, PA. – An AccuWeather press release today poses the question of the potential for crop and garden damage as temperatures dip this weekend.
AccuWeather Senior meteorologist Dave Samhuel said temperatures of 26 to 28 degrees are forecast in places like Indiana, Ohio and Michigan, but only a small percentage of corn has already emerged there.
Planting in Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota is further along. Nebraska reports 68 percent of its corn crop planted, but the low temperature is forecast at 37 degrees at Nebraska City on Friday.
The National Weather Service says the best chances for frost are Saturday and Monday mornings when the lows are expected just above freezing.
The weather service says the eastern 2/3rds of the country will be abnormally cool.
