NC Schools Collaborate With Health District On School Closing Decisions
Two confirmed cases that are not directly linked to each other would require school closing

NEBRASKA CITY - Nebraska City Public Schools, Lourdes Central Catholic and NCEDBVI issued a joint COVID-19 update on Thursday.
The schools have ramped up cleaning and disinfecting routines and ask students who are sick to stay home.
The school update says decisions about school closings will be made by Southeast District Health Department in collaboration with schools.
A school will be required to close if there are two confirmed cases in the same community that are not directly linked to each other.
Health agencies may also recommend closing school should one confirmed case be reported.
Schools may also chose to close absent a confirmed case.
