TECUMSEH – A May 29 jury trial has been scheduled for Kenneth Bridgewater, 51, of Brownville on charges related to an armed attack of a Tecumseh residence on May 10.

Bridgewater is the father of Kolton and Levi Bridgewater, who are charged with burglary and terroristic threats. His sons were both shot while entering the home of Raymond Brown in Tecumseh.

An arrest affidavit says Kenneth Bridgewater also entered the home and struggled with Brown over control of a gun.

Court records say a Johnson County deputy applied a tourniquet to Levi Bridgewater’s leg to help control bleeding and did not realize that Kolton had been injured until after Tecumseh rescue arrived.

Both sons were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Kolton and Levi Bridgewater had worked at the same place as Brown, but the employees were laid off that week.
