Moore Reports Fantastic Weekend For American Legion's Gun Show

TECUMSEH – The third annual Johnson Gun Show was held Feb. 1-2 the American Legion Post 330 Community Building in Johnson.
Post Commandeer Rick Moore said the mild weather helped make it a fantastic weekend. Over 400 people attended and 50 vendor tables were staffed.
Moore said the gun show is an important fundraiser.
Moore: “We’ve been doing good the last three years now that we’ve started this. It keeps us going. It’s hard anymore. We had to keep the building up and put a roof on it and everything else.”
The Johnson American Legion Auxiliary served a lunch featuring sloppy Joes, biscuits and gravy, brats, along with pies and other desserts.
A raffle was held with the prize being a Winchester pre-64 Model 70 in H&H Magnum caliber. The gun was made in 1954.
Raffles of two air rifles were won by John Jenkins and Zach Hawley.
Plans are being made for the 4th Annual Gun Show on the first weekend of February 2021.
