PLATTSMOUTH - A Henderson teenager is lucky to drive away after his car slid into a moving train Sunday morning near Greenwood.
Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann says 19-year-old Brandon Fuller of Henderson was trying to stop at the intersection of Main Street and Highway 6 for a west bound train to pass.
Fuller reported that he believed the crossing gates were lifting and he proceeded onto the tracks, not realizing there was a train coming.
Authorities say that Fuller hit the breaks but slid into the train due to snow.
Fuller was able to drive away and reported the accident.
There were no injuries, but there was damage to the car and train.
