Police Say Welter Had Meth Packaged For Sale
Nebraska City man charged with distribution
NEBRASKA CITY – Nebraska City police arrested James Welter III, 35, of Nebraska City for suspicion of distribution of methamphetamine on Nov. 3.
In an arrest affidavit, a police officer says Welter ditched a backpack in the backyard of a south Ninth Street residence while trying to avoid police. The affidavit says the backpack contained a digital scale and a glass jar with three plastic bags of meth that is consistent packaging for sale.
Welter is scheduled for preliminary hearing on Dec. 18.
