Teen Killed In Accident Near Pawnee City

PAWNEE CITY - A teen was killed in a traffic accident on Highway 50 north of Pawnee City Saturday morning.

A press release from the Pawnee County Attorney's Office says the fatality came from a single-vehicle, roll over accident around 10:30 a.m.

A northbound vehicle came to rest in a fence line south of 711th Road, resulting in the two occupants being ejected from the vehicle.

A 51-year-old Pawnee City man was taken by medical helicopter to an area hospital where he continues to receive treatment for his injuries.

His 15-year-old son died shortly after being transported from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office and Nebraska State Patrol.
The county attorney's office says the identification of those involved will not be released without consent of the family.
