Speaker series welcomes Anthony Smith to Peru State
Former UFC fighter and MMA Tonight co-host
PERU – Peru State College’s Distinguished Speaker Series is hosting MMA Tonight co-host and retired Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter, Anthony J. Smith, at the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, March 17.

Smith, who grew up in Nebraska City under difficult circumstances, was known as Lionheart when he started his career with Strikeforce. A victory in the Bellator MMA earned him a spot with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, where he competed until 2025.
He will speak about overcoming adversity at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
