America 250: Nebraska City proposes banners
City council agenda includes Creative District music events

NEBRASKA CITY- The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 16.
The agenda includes a public hearing on the Fifth Rue street project, Veterans Memorial Building annual report and street closures for Nebraska City Creative District events.
The America 250: Nebraska City Committee proposes four 4x8 foot banners at entrances to the city.
Welcome banners are proposed for west Fourth Corso, the Lewis and Clark statue near East Fourth Corso, the south entrance near Westlake Ace Hardware and north entrance near Centennial Ave.
Liquor license requests for Veterans Memorial Building:
El Portal for Jazz through Decades music concert on March 28.
The Backstage Bar for the bluegrass festival on June 6.
City Tap House for the Country Music Revue on Aug. 22.
The Keeping Room for the Jingle Jam Music Concert on Dec. 12.
The creative district seeks street closure for the Apple Jamboree on Oct. 10 and art walk on Oct. 17.
In the city administrator’s report, Perry Mader reports 108 pet licenses issued in January bringing the total of licenses pets to 140. There were also 14 ATV licenses bringing the total to 36.
