City council to consider length of council president duty

FALLS CITY- The Falls City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20.

The agenda includes a request to restrict parking on Morton Street, seven chicken permits and livestock permits on Fulton Street.

A public hearing is scheduled regarding the city’s redevelopment plan and an amendment for Fairview Mills Redevelopment Project.

The council will elect its 2026 officers and EDGE will give its quarterly report.

The council is expected to review selections for a new electric substation for the Energy Forward Transmission Improvement Project.

A historical marker is proposed at the aquatic park.
