Wrong way driver sentenced to probation
Nebraska City woman injured in head-on collision near Palmyra
NEBRASKA CITY- David Haldeman, 64, of Lincoln was sentenced to three years of probation, a $1,000 fine and five years license revocation for DUI causing injury on Nov. 25, 2024
Court records say Haldeman was driving in an apparent head-on collision on Highway 2 that seriously injured Stacie Higgins of Nebraska City. Another motorist told investigators she witnessed the accident and said she did not see any car cross the median, but that one of the cars was driving in the wrong direction.
Haldeman told investigators he thought he was heading to Lincoln from Auburn. He was actually in the eastbound lane headed away from Lincoln.
