NEBRASKA CITY - Robert Chatterton, 34, of Syracuse is charged with possession of child pornography on Jan. 4.

An Otoe County Sheriff’s Office affidavit says deputies were dispatched to a Syracuse residence regarding an image on a cell phone and says the cell phone was unlocked for deputies when they arrived. Authorities suspect images were obtained in online chat rooms.

The affidavit does not allege manufacture of images, but says digital images can be exchanged in the chat rooms.

Bond for Chatterton was set at $75,000.
