Auburn plans Hometown Christmas
Auburn expects 20 floats in inaugural lighted parade

AUBURN - The Auburn Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Keep the Cheer Here for the holiday season as part of its Hometown Christmas events.

The shopping event begins Thursday along with the community tree lighting at Union Bank & Trust. Santa Claus is scheduled to light the Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m. Christmas carolers, a hot cocoa stand and kids visit with Santa are scheduled.

The Reindeer Dash is Friday with an ugly Christmas sweater party at 6 p.m. at BBQ 136.
Saturday events include breakfast with Mrs. Claus, Christmas crafts, Polar Express at the Auburn State Theater, hayrack rides, living nativity and storytime with Mrs. Claus at The Cenacle.

Auburn’s Homespun Holiday Market is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Auburn Senior Center.
The holiday lighted parade is at 5:30 p.m. on Courthouse Avenue. The Chamber expects 20 floats for its first holiday lighted parade. Director Leslie Clark said the parade will be judged and fabulous prizes will be awarded.
