SIDNEY, IA – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports arrests through March 28, including suspects of drug and theft crimes.

The sheriff's office reports the arrest of Dawson Barnes, 23, of Sidney for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and a small marijuana grow.

Deputies and the county K9 unit conducted a search of a Clay Street residence in Sidney on March 21. They say Barnes was keeping a premises for the use of controlled substances.

Enrique Aldana, 46, of Nebraska City is suspected of second degree theft.

A Hamburg resident reported the theft of a trailer from a business on Main Street. A sheriff’s office press release says surveillance footage led to an arrest warrant for Aldana, who was picked up in Otoe County and extradited to Iowa. The trailer has not been located and deputies are looking for an alleged accomplice.

Aldana was released after posting a $10,000 surety bond.

There were also four arrests for driving under the influence and an arrest for a probation violation.
